Lake Tyers Beach is an undiscovered gem. From the town you look across a thin line of lake, then a boundary of sand, to the magnificence of the ocean. Here, there's another of nature's gifts to those who love the water. The Gippsland Lakes narrow to the dividing waters of Cunningham Arm and the North Arm. And just beyond Cunningham Arm is the ocean beach. While there's no road access to the ocean (one of its charms), there's a foot bridge from the centre of the town to the surf lifesaving club on the ocean side of the Arm. And there is a fabulous walking track to the entrance where the ocean meets the Lakes.
